Eclipse is the Top SunSystems Reseller

Sydney - Wednesday, 30 October 2002 - "Leading business solutions reseller, Eclipse Computing (Australia) Pty Ltd is the top reseller of SunSystems financial management software in Australia.

Systems Union, the global software vendor that develops SunSystems, awarded the hotly contested SunSystems Premiere Channel Partner 2001 to Eclipse in November last year. The 2002 award will be announced next month.

Eclipse, one of Australia’s fastest-growing companies, is the recipient of multiple SunSystems awards including SunSystems Highest Client Retention Rate 1997-2001 and SunSystems Leading Reseller of SunSystems 5, the latest version, in 2001.

Bradley Stroop, Chief Executive Officer of Eclipse said it was unfortunate that a national business magazine had incorrectly apportioned the hard-won title to another company.

“Our team has worked hard together over many years to deliver a level of customer service previously unheard of in the information technology sector,“ Mr Stroop said.

“It is important to clarify the situation and to reconfirm that Eclipse is the number one reseller of SunSystems in Australia,” he said.

Eclipse also holds the distinction of being the leading implementer of SunSystems 5 which offers full integration with Microsoft Excel, data capture and analysis, business intelligence reporting and Web based requisitioning.

Version 5 of SunSystems, released in Australia in early 2001, has already been implememented by Eclipse at 15 sites in Australia including Volkswagen Financial Services, Royal Bank Canada and Superannuation Services Australia with a further 15 sites implemented by the Eclipse world group alliance.

Overall, Eclipse has close to 200 SunSystems sites with companies such as Hoyts Corporation, Nutrimetics and Diners Club being long-standing clients.

Bill Bryce, Managing Director of Systems Union in Australia, said Eclipse fully deserved their number one status for their consistent high-level customer service.

“Eclipse Australia has the highest level of customer retention of all our SunSystems resellers, throughout Australasia. They have won the Highest Client Retention Rate Award each year since 1997 with a retention rate of 83% since 1993,” Mr Bryce said.

Eclipse was ranked number 27 in BRW’s Fast 100 last year and has built its business by providing a range of software solutions supported with old-fashioned service. The company services 400 clients and employs 100 team members in offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Suva.
