Vision Business Intelligence

Vision® is an integrated executive information system that provides direct access to data sources from within the familiar desktop environment of Microsoft Excel and Word. Vision is now available across all our Eclipse ERP and financial solutions; SunSystems, Microsoft Axapta and Microsoft Great Plains. Vision can also extract data from different products into a single application e.g. your accounting package, maintenance and payroll systems supplied by different authors.

Eclipse have been working with and implementing the Vision suite of products since 1996. Initially, the Vision product was only available for SunSystems. Today, the product has been extended to include Microsoft Business Solutions Axapta and Great Plains.

In terms of market position, Vision has some 75,000+ users throughout 158 countries and has been in the marketplace since 1989. Vision is also multilingual and is available in 10 languages.

Typically, any organisation can use Vision. It is a powerful reporting tool that allows real-time dynamic access to financial data and to data stored across modules such as Project and Manufacturing.

It offers an intuitive MS Excel based interface and is therefore requires little training to get started.
What makes Vision more powerful than other Reporting / Business Intelligence tools on the market is the business logic. The business logic underlying the application (say; Microsoft Great Plains, Axapta, SunSystems etc) is in-built into the Vision product.

You don’t need to worry about how your application is put together, as Vision takes care of this for you - presenting back a common-sense, commercial representation of your financial data.

End users can create there own reports without relying on or involving a development team designing and making available reports. The primary Vision products; Vision XL, Vision Executive and Vision Word provide Cell Referencing and Named Ranges functionality allowing you to dynamically modify controlling variables before extracting your report.
